Let it become a habit. Just a couple of minutes, three times a day, and your life will change.
Einstein is reputed to have said: "If I had an hour to save the world, I would spend 55 minutes studying the problem, and 5 minutes on the solution." I'm a lot like that. Not that I'm smart like Einstein; I'm lazy. I look for the easiest way to solve problems, the way that requires the least effort for the greatest reward.
That's how I've come to the conclusion that "Breathe, Smile, Repeat" is the easiest and fastest way to a life of optimum health and happiness. Breathing and Smiling require almost no energy whatsoever and yet, if done intentionally, will transform your life.
We breathe 22,000 times a day. Virtually all of them are automatic and unthinking. However, breathing with focused attention and intention can have magical, transformative effects.

So, intentional breathing a few times a day can have huge health benefits. Think of it as a physical reset that gives elevated energy.
Smiling offers a mood boost and helps our bodies release cortisol and endorphins that provide numerous health benefits, including:

The more you do it the better you become.
When to do this? Anytime. Start with 3 times a day, morning, noon, and night. Also: before a big meeting, job interview, sales presentation, important phone call, online meeting, writing project... any challenging situation where you want to be your best.
